Manager of Career Development

Michael Savage

Michael is the manager of career development at ActivateWork. Michael has dedicated much of his career to connecting people in the community with the resources they need. He has worked as a program director for the YMCA of Greater Denver, as a programming and acquisitions manager at Starz Entertainment, and most recently, as a scholarship officer at the Daniels Fund. In this last role he worked on college preparedness and career and job development with a cohort of 250 students at over 45 universities and colleges.

Michael works with several organizations and nonprofits, such as The Boettcher Foundation, The Yess Institute, and Mapleton Education Foundation on career development, scholarship application reviews, and coaching. His passion is connecting and learning from those in his community as well as passing on some knowledge from his experiences when needed.

Michael is originally from the Southeast (Tennessee and Kentucky to be exact) but has called Denver home since 1999. In his spare time, he and his wife and two daughters enjoy traveling, playing board games, and partaking in all the outdoor sports and activities beautiful Colorado provides.
