Marketing & Outreach Manager
Jeannette Schultz is the marketing & outreach manager of ActivateWork. Her career began as a business reporter for the Inland Valley Daily bulletin in Ontario, Calif., a 90,000-circulation, daily newspaper. She continued her journalism career at the Greeley Tribune, a 30,000-circulation evening newspaper. Since then, she has worked in a variety of trade publications, covering finance, retail trends, arts and culture.
As a career changer, she worked in nonprofit for more than 20 years, collaborating with more than 100 institutions on financial literacy. Under her tutelage, she has received the bronze quill and regional merit for developing financial education content with the New York-based American Foundation for suicide prevention and an excellence award from the Intermountain Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication for the project in partnership with the DC-based National Association of Service and Conservation Corps.
Her nonprofit work continues as a volunteer member of the Aurora Asian Partnership and Women’s Foundation of Colorado. She received a master’s degree on nonprofit management from Regis University in Denver. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications, emphasizing in journalism and political science from California State University, Fullerton.
