Kara Williams

Kara Williams is a 28-year business veteran specializing in management, innovation, and technology consulting, leadership development, and business transformation. Her career has primarily been spent leading global teams focused on delivering packaged software implementation, custom software development, digital and physical prototype builds, and human-centered design strategy. Her proudest career moment is helping to source, build, launch, and lead a Big 4 Consultancy’s innovation center across three continents, which helped clients across multiple industries act differently and incubate new products or services.

As a first-generation college graduate, Kara keeps a keen eye on skilled labor demand and tech training programs. She is the daughter of a certified airplane mechanic who attended a technical training school and was an adult apprentice. Her father ended his career leading commercial airline airworthiness inspections for the FAA. Kara’s vision for tech talent is three-pronged: (1) significantly increase hiring and company partnerships via adult apprenticeship programs for high-demand skills; (2) increase hiring from non-college-degree programs for high-demand needs like AI, cyber, and neural networking; and (3) upskilling traditional tech talent to include empathy and human-centered design skills. She is connected to global companies both headquartered in Denver and those outside of the Colorado market, with particular emphasis on telecommunications, hospitality, consumer products and goods, healthcare, and high tech.
